Most parents worry about this part
but it always works out in its own way 🤎

I photographed this family when their first baby was born.

Now they came back with their second baby.
A little boy and a big sister.

More love now.
More movement.
A little more chaos too.

Many families come back for baby number two,
and it always means so much to me.

With this little girl, the session went a bit backwards.

She clearly was not impressed by the cake 😅

So we started with the splash part first, and honestly, that was the right call.
By then she was happy, relaxed, and already having fun.

Her mom brought the cake, not me, and step by step we still made it work.

That’s how these sessions sometimes go.
We change the plan, follow the baby, and usually that’s when everything comes together best 🤎

I feel like it’s time to finally show up here myself.

I’m Irina, the person behind the camera.
I was going to say “the one who takes your photos”…
but it’s a little more than that.

Let’s do this as random facts.

✨I’m very patient and extremely calm at work.
With my own kids… not exactly the same 😅

✨The best thing I’ve ever done for my business
was switching to newborn photography.
It fits me so well.

✨I love cats, I have two,
and honestly it’s hard to stop at two…

✨The most unforgettable concert for me
Massive Attack.
I still get chills thinking about it.

✨Don’t invite me for coffee.
I truly love being at home alone.
My husband is the complete opposite.

✨Moving to another country
hard sometimes,
especially living in a different language,
but such a powerful experience.

✨I’ve learned to catch the meaning from a few familiar words.
Sometimes it works,
sometimes… not really.
So if I ever react a little off,
that’s probably why 😂

this is me stepping out of my comfort zone
which doesn’t happen very often 🤍

He didn’t want to sleep at first. Wide awake, just looking around, so we started with awake portraits and they turned out so beautiful. Then slowly he fell into that deep newborn sleep, and that’s always the moment when I feel like I could keep going forever, just one more setup, one more photo.

But I also see you. I see how tired parents get, and I never want to overdo it. I try to keep sessions around two hours, not to rush, but also not to exhaust you. Enough time for a good variety, but still gentle and easy 🤎

One day they’re all curled up
tiny and sleepy in your arms

And then suddenly
they’re more awake
stretching
looking around

That newborn stage is so short

That’s why I love slowing it down
just for a little while

Nothing rushed
nothing forced
just your baby as they are
