Every season, there's always a last game. For the 2026 Roosters baseball team, that was Monday, May 18. PHHS fell to the rival Harrisonville Wildcats 4-0 in a tough, second-round game in the district tournament. This youthful team has a bright future according to Head Coach Scott Maid. Congratulations Rooster Baseball for advancing past the first round of the district tournament. The Roosters defeated the Clinton Cardinals 3-2 in a game that saw a 30-minute lightning delay. On Monday, May 18, the Roosters will face off against the top-seeded Harrisonville Wildcats. Come out and support your home team as the fellas look to advance to the district championship game.

Here are my best photos from the game this week against Oak Grove. I was only able to stay for a couple innings because I had to drive over to the girls soccer senior night. Here are some photos of the JV boys and girls games last night against Summit Christian. The girls won 49-13 in a dominant performance. The boys game didn't go as well, but they showed a lot of heart and never gave up. I'm not sure what the final score ended up being because I had to leave at halftime. Not to be outdone by the boys last Friday, the varsity girls got the better of Richmond 68-55. They improved to 6-5 on the season in what looked to me like a pretty rough game. Let's all support the Chicks during the rest of the Pleasant Hill tournament this week! Go Chicks!
