sending out my second round of fall minis this week 🍂

still cannot get over how grateful + honored I feel to capture so many sweet families during this season!

I’m already brainstorming ideas for mini sessions next year, because I want to be really intentional about how your family is documented. I don’t believe in just getting a “smile at the camera photo” — I want to slow down and see how you interact, and capture the real emotion & joy.

My 2027 calendar if officially open for newborn bookings 🤍 I know how tiring the beginning of the newborn phase can be (I have two kiddos of my own so trust me when I say, I get it!) — but that’s why my ultimate goal when I capture your newborn photos is to help you feel comfortable, not rushed, and to emphasize slowing down + soaking up these precious moments because they truly go so fast. Sweet newborn babies have my heart!! Here’s a little newborn session tip to save if you have a session coming up soon:

If your newborn photos are happening at home, try wearing cozy, soft textures that feel relaxed for you and baby. Not only are they comfy, but they also photograph so nicely!

Think linens, knit sweaters, waffle texture, cardigans, soft cotton, etc. I also always love neutrals or softer colors for these!

Simple, comfortable, and still looks put together in photos 💓 If you have a newborn session booked with me, you can always text me your ideas — I love helping with outfits when it‘s needed!

There’s just something about bringing your baby home 🤍

Here’s a little newborn session prep tip: don’t worry about deep cleaning your home before photos, but do a quick clutter sweep of the spaces we’ll likely use. Check the nightstands, countertops, floors, etc & you’re good to go! The goal isn’t a perfect house — just a calm, cozy space that lets your family be the focus 🫶🏼

FAQ time!✨🌿🦋

When should I book my maternity session?!

I recommend booking your session 2–4 months in advance, especially if you have a specific date, location, or season in mind!

For the actual session, 28–34 weeks pregnant is usually a sweet spot — your bump is probably showing, but you’re hopefully still feeling comfortable enough to enjoy your time in front of the camera!!

Of course, every pregnancy is different ~ some moms show earlier, some later, some are expecting twins, and sometimes we’re working around the Texas heat (or a busy fall calendar!) so we can always adjust based on you, your pregnancy, and the season :)

If you’re expecting and know you want maternity photos, I’d reach out around 20–24 weeks pregnant so we have plenty of time to choose a date and plan your session without any rush!✨
