Ever wonder what it would be like to do a maternity session with me? Come along as I show you my five step process to every maternity photography session that I do.

Step 1: discovery call. It’s my first touch point with you. We chat on the phone and I get to know you a little bit better and listen to ideas you might have and your dreams for your photo shoot.

Step 2: zoom planning call. After I book your session I schedule a Zoom planning call with you. This is where we get down to the nitty-gritty. We pick out the colors, themes, backdrops, wardrobe, all the things!. This is how every one of my sessions goes so smoothly. Because everything is preplanned and ready to go before you ever step foot in my studio.

Step 3: the photo shoot. So much fun! Because everything has already been planned you get to just show up and be pampered and get a lot of laughs along the way. I have so many reviews on my Google business page of mom‘s raving about how much fun the shoot was and how comfortable they felt with me. I take that as a my badge of honor. I take maternity sessions in my studio located in Pasadena Maryland or outside at various gorgeous Maryland landmarks.

Step 4: zoom planning call. I sit down with you together on Zoom and go through all of the photos. I guide you in making print decisions and digital decisions as well. I never leave you alone to make decisions throughout this entire process. You have me every step of the way.

Step 5: everyone’s favorite, photo delivery! I hand edit every single photo that you choose until they are polished and perfect. I have worked with so many families and it’s my greatest joy to deliver photos that brings tears to their eyes.

Just got off and ordering a Zoom call with West River Cakes 🍊🦢🌸 . Yeah, when I tell you, we pulled out all the stops for this shoot. I’m not lying. Lol. Even including a 6 foot life-size cake.😂😂😂
I told Olivia “ listen, don’t give me creative freedom or you’re gonna end up sitting on a 6 foot cake!”
Welp, look where we ended up ha ha.

Ever wonder what it’s like behind the scenes at a maternity photography session? Well now you can see. This was one of three set ups that I did for this maternity client. You can see her wearing some beautiful clothing and accessories from my client closet and I’m using all GODOX LIGHTING for this set up. I used my trusty Godox AD 200 PROII for my main light with the BFP Flash Projection Attachment to give me this lovely spotlight effect.

I think a lot of time us women overcomplicate things. One tiny thing is off and we think we need to throw everything in the trash and start over. First day of 5th and 9th grade.
I’m not quite sure where the summer has gone😭😭😭 but here we are. I feel like I rushed them out the door and now the house is so quiet 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
First day of school is so weird for me. It feels like a piece of my heart is missing. I always get used to it, but the first day is so weird and so hard for me.
But I know these girls are going to have an incredible year. So proud of both of them. They are truly growing into strong, capable, talented hilarious fun young ladies ❤️❤️❤️
