It's and I've been helping Park City Municipal Corporation's Water department put together content than not only educates the community but also assures our residents of the quality of our drinking water.

The Park City Youth Council took part in at the Utah State Capitol this week, participating in mock debates, touring the Capitol building, and speaking with Legislators and other local officials.

The annual event, put on by the Utah League of Cities and Towns, brings together students from across the state to engage in the Legislative session.

Mayor Ryan Dickey and Councilor Tana Toly joined the group for lunch where they also had an opportunity to meet Representative Tiara Auxier and hear from Gov. Spencer J. Cox.

Park City Police Officer Ben Powers shares a behind-the-scenes look at a recent commercial vehicle truck inspection stop, conducted with help from Utah Highway Patrol, and officers from both Salt Lake and Utah Valley. Our Park City team conducts these routine checks of trucks and trailers to make sure other motorists are safe on our roadways.

During the inspections, officers were able to utilize two Performance Based Brake Testing units, allowing officers to check each axel of a truck and make sure they're in compliance.

The results:
• 35 vehicle inspections
• 21 out of service violations
• 21 commercial trucks were placed out of service
