This was my last photo of the day on my way up through Idaho and I really dig it. There are elements of both the golden and blue hours in this one as the shadows and setting sun turned what would be a gray scene during midday into a colorful one.

The word "photography" translates from Latin as "drawing with light". Some days I feel like I'm getting pretty good at it. This photo moves me and in the end that's all that matters.

I spent a day each way sightseeing between home and Grand Junction. This rock art panel really captured my attention as a photographer because to my eye it seems to depict a certain depth of field and perspective. Truly fascinating.
