Happy Monday!!

I recently had a new client walk in and say “you aren’t what I was expecting” 😅 I figured it was time to update my headshots and reintroduce myself to all my new followers! Usually when you see me at sessions I’m in leggings a tshirt and my hairs a mess. Don’t let the pictures fool ya 😜

I am Nikki, the one man show at Nikki Southworth Photography (aside from my husband who is my occasional IT/business guy). I am an all boy mom to three- Gunnar (13), Brooks (9) and Truitt (7). And if those three boys weren’t enough we also have three boy dogs Eddie, Billy and Nugget. Ive been married to my best friend Brian for 16 years. I was once told my house is one wiener short of a pack of hot dogs….they weren’t wrong.

When I am not chasing my own chaos or capturing yours I love to read (audio books), travel and take a good nap. We are a big baseball family so there is a good chance if we aren’t home you can find us at a field. Im a big fan of Scooters coffee, Coke Zero and Chinese food. I am a pediatric ER nurse by trade which comes in handy with 3 boys. When covid hit and we had a few life changes I decided to pick up my camera and taught myself photography. Here we are. During the warmer months I still work as a first aid nurse (for people) at the zoo! I love when clients pop in and say hi when they see me! The former ER nurse in me makes me cuss like a sailor but I promise to keep my mouth PG around your kids 🫣

My favorite thing to photograph is newborns. BUT there is nothing I LOVE more than watching all those babies grow and to capture all of their milestones. Basically I love capturing all chapters of life. I also have a special place in my heart for hospice sessions. I have met so many incredible people through the years and Im so thankful for all of my clients many of whom I now call friends. I love getting to know your family and having your kids get excited to see “Ms. Mickey.” (Sorry kids I don’t have the mouse ears)
