I don’t always post my personal life on here and separate my life from business life but I’ve had lots of people asking me about my surgery so I will update and share the things that happened I am in recovery and doing well I’m so happy to be back behind the camera and creating wonderful memories for everyone!! I love being able to be back to the place that makes me happy and seeing everyone again and here’s to spring and summer sessions coming soon and all the best!!

March is colorectal awareness month
As these last 6 months have been my journey in colorectal health and a cancer scare I understand the need to get checked out. My journey began with an er visit thinking I had a kidney stone to find out I had an abscess on my colon and a hole and a cyst on my o***y .. months of medications to try and shrink it or make it go away ..it only
Grew larger and more the o***y cyst was no longer a cyst and now a tumor that was growing at a fast rate my abscess growing too
Months of medications that made my hair thin out and fall out messed with my eye vision
Trying new meds trying things to help stop the growth in body

I had over 11 precancerous spots on my colon last year
Just this year I had 9 more it’s never good when the surgeon is standing at your bedside telling you for someone my age they shouldn’t be seeing all this .. they don’t start screenings for colon cancer until 45-50 years of age if I had waited this could be a different story
Still

Genetic counseling genetic testing for months all for (thought) cancer and the tumor that growing .. can you be desensitized by hearing the word cancer all the time ?!?

When the infection/disease is now taking over your colon and body making it hard to function daily the tumor is growing so much you have daily pain that never goes away.

So many hospital visits clinic visits doctors offices ct scans every two weeks blood work every other day pokes Ivs and lines placed for meds I received everyday.

I had my breakdowns I cried more times that I can remember but was strong in front of the world and my kiddo I didn’t want him to see me breakdown. I remember one nurse who hugged me telling me you’ve got this you’ve made it so far through all of this!

It can be scary and you learn who is with you and supports you and who doesn’t who rallies around you. I am blessed with amazing people in myLife..

I had to surgery to remove it all.. my ovaries …the colon.. the tumor .. and so much more..
I’m on the road to healing and recovery and happy to say my tumor and pathology is all negative for cancer (answered prayer from above) but always trust your guts get checked out … still healing but on the journey
