About the Photographer
Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. My name is Teresa Peterson. I'm a wife and mother of three boundless boys and one charismatic, spirited little girl (Evelyn Leigh). We live in the Kansas City area.
I'd have to say my interest in photography began when I received my first "real" camera as a wedding gift from my amazingly, insightful husband. About two years later and after only occasional use of the camera, I decided that I would use it to document every month of my little girl's growth. It was then that I fell in love with photography!
To me, a photograph preserves those precious moments and details...a mother's loving touch, a child's sweet embrace, giggles between siblings. In my photography, I strive to capture images that convey genuine emotion and create lasting memories for my clients. I hope that they will look back at the photos and remember that day. Our lives are mostly made up of small moments. There is no way to remember them all, but a photograph can document and preserve them.
I am most passionate about photographing children and families. I prefer more candid settings, but do realize there is the need for more formal, posed shots as well. So, I do try to incorporate some posing into my sessions. I think my style of photography can be described as artistic portraiture and lifestyle photography.
