🚨 Spoiler alert 🚨

This one ended in the pool.

It was 529 degrees celsius outside on this morning — I checked twice — so we finished where the kids had been staring the whole session anyway.

Here's the thing about photographing families who are visiting: sometimes the easiest location isn't a beach or a park at all. It's the house you already rented. Nobody loads into three cars, nobody navigates parking, nobody arrives already frustrated. Everyone walks out the back door while the light is still good, and when the youngest hits their limit, the pool is right there.

If you're renting a place in Central Florida and the thought of coordinating a location is already exhausting — we can just come to you.

Three little ones, one dramatic sunrise, and a beautiful Petite Session near Marineland in Palm Coast. 🤍

Not every family needs—or wants—a long photo session. With a baby and two young boys, keeping this morning short, relaxed, and moving was exactly right.

We had time to photograph the whole family together, create a few walking portraits along the shoreline, settle onto the coquina rocks, and capture the quieter moments in between. The changing clouds and warm sunrise gave every part of the beach a slightly different look without ever changing locations.

Petite Sessions are a wonderful option for immediate families who want updated family photographs, a little variety, and a session that doesn’t feel overwhelming for younger children.

One entire family, one beautiful morning, and one very worthwhile early alarm. 🤍

This extended family met me on the beach at sunrise in Daytona Beach Shores, and the morning gave us the prettiest soft light, a pastel sky, and plenty of quiet shoreline.

We photographed the whole family together and then worked through all the smaller groups: grandparents with their grandchildren, each immediate family, couples, siblings, and the kids on their own.

That is what I love about extended-family sessions. You leave with the big photograph of everyone together, but also with all the smaller family combinations you rarely have the chance to photograph.

If your family is vacationing in Daytona Beach or Daytona Beach Shores, sunrise is one of the best times for beach photos—especially with young children or a larger group. The beach is cooler, calmer, and far less crowded than it will be later in the day.

Now be honest: who in your family would be the hardest one to get out of bed for sunrise? 😂

I have been photographing Ana and her family since they moved to the area a few years ago from Gainesville via Brazil so when she reached out and said she needed Daniel's senior photos done ASAP, of course I made time. Daniel has 5 other HYSTERICAL brothers and sisters so it was pretty amazing just to hang out with Daniel and Ana. He's very shy and quiet but put that boy in front of a piano.....brilliant...flipping freaking breath taking astounding fantastic. I'm jealous actually.
