My photography journey began as a college student at the University of Central Oklahoma. I took a basic photography class early on as an elective, and that one class ended up changing the entire direction of my life. By the time the course was over, I was in love and completely enamored with the world of photography. My final project that first semester was to document something and tell a story w

ith a photo essay. When I received my graded project, there was a handwritten note from my professor that read: “I hope you continue to keep telling stories” -- And that is exactly what I’ve been doing ever since.

One of the perks of hanging out at the zoo is the people you meet.

When Emma and I met at the zoo last year we ended up having a pretty deep conversation about animals, conservation, and zoos. It was one of those moments where you realize you’re talking to someone who sees the world a lot like you do.

A few months later I got to photograph her and Wade’s wedding.

They were married inside the Crystal Bridge with just their parents there and a close family friend officiating. Such a sweet day. 🤍

I first photographed Annie and Amber in 2019 — just the two of them and their three dogs.

A lot has changed since then. I photographed their twins as newborns — and somehow they grew overnight. One more on the way, after a long and hard-earned road to get here.

What hasn’t changed is how present they are with each other. Nothing forced. Just a lot of love, growing in real time.

Getting to photograph them through all of it has meant a lot to me. I love telling stories especially for families like the Medico’s 🤍

There’s something about photographing the same family over time — you slip right into a rhythm. Everything feels relaxed, the moments feel real, and the photos show it. Finished the day with a cake smash for the littlest one, which was perfect.
