Even When It Hurts

Some days fall heavy on the heart,
dreams slip through trembling hands.
We try, we fail, we break apart—
in ways no one understands.

Yet still the morning finds us here,
with breath that stubbornly remains.
A whispered hope, a quiet cheer,
to rise again despite the pains.

For life is not the sum of wins,
nor proof of perfect, shining light—
but choosing, even bruised within,
to take one more step into the night.
