We did their wedding photos… twice ✨

Skeylar & Dakota came back for a second round of bride + groom portraits at the Philbrook, and it gave us an entirely different layer to their story.

No wedding day timeline. No rushing. No waiting on anything else.

Just the two of them, in a sunlit museum that felt almost unreal that day - moving slowly, laughing often, and settling into each other in a way that only happens when time is on your side.

And the difference shows.

The energy is softer. The moments last longer. The emotion feels deeper.

This is what I love about creating space beyond the wedding day itself - it’s not about repeating anything, it’s about capturing a version of you that only exists when everything else falls away.

Same couple. Same love. Completely different feel.

A little gloom + doom in the forecast, but somehow these two still felt like sunshine ☁️✨

From running around downtown, laughing every five seconds, to fully embracing the weather instead of stressing over it… Sydney + Tyler made this session feel so effortless. The kind of couple that reminds me engagement photos are supposed to feel FUN - not stiff, awkward, or like another thing to check off the wedding to-do list.

I genuinely could not stop smiling around them all night. And getting to create alongside Olivia while she captured content + drone footage made it even better 🫶🏼

Spring, softened in motion.

Lace catching light in quiet folds, tulips leaning just slightly off center, a veil moving like it already knows where it wants to land.

It all felt really simple in the best way - not forced, not overly styled for the sake of it, just soft movement and little moments happening on their own.

This was a styled shoot, created to lean into a more editorial, spring-driven bridal story. Whimsical, but still intentional. Romantic, but not overworked.

And honestly, this is a big part of how I approach weddings too.

I’m not trying to over-direct every second or make things feel stiff and posed. I’m paying attention to what’s already there - the in-between moments, the movement, the way things naturally unfold, and building from that.

Because the best images (to me) don’t feel created from scratch… they feel like they were noticed.

Spring just happened to show up really beautifully for this one 🌷

Some couples don’t need a huge venue or a 12 hour timeline to make their wedding feel like them.

Skyelar + Dakota said “let’s do this our way.” Courthouse vows, editorial portraits at the capitol, and a whole second bridal look still loading…

And honestly, this is why connection matters more than checking boxes.

Turns out a garden brunch with your girls can feel just as special as the wedding itself. 🌿

The slower moments, the fresh air, the conversations around the table you wish you could bottle up forever - there’s something so special about this part of a wedding weekend. Quiet, intentional, and beautifully unhurried.

This in the garden brunch from the hosted by felt like stepping into a Martha Stewart spring editorial- in the dreamiest way. Overflowing florals, layered textures, the prettiest brunch spread, sunlight pouring through the trees, and every little detail feeling effortlessly thoughtful.

The kind of atmosphere that makes people slow down, stay awhile, and actually be in the moment. And honestly, that’s exactly how I want wedding weekends to feel when I document them - beautiful, yes, but even more than that… fully lived in.
