🌸 H O T T I P 🌸
When adding a soft blur to your images with a baggy…
🌸 Keep your fstop as low as possible
🌸 The higher your fstop (aperture) gets, the harder your baggy edges become, losing that soft, blurry edge
🌸 My preference is in the 1.2-1.8 range
🌸 I have found this effect works best for me in natural light or using a continuous studio light (no strobe)
These were taken in the middle of a sunny day and I was still able to get beautiful images with the baggy trick. Here is one more hot tip for combating the harsh light with a low aperture…
🌸 UP your shutter speed - mine ranged in the 600-5000 range depending on where we landed. The brighter it was, the higher it went, the shadier it was, the lower it went.
Have you tried this trick yet? If not, it’s a must! I always have a baggy around my lens. People probably think I’m crazy 😂
Enjoy!
