On your wedding day, while I am capturing everything in the present moment, I will also be thinking about your future. Wedding photographs are forever and I am documenting your legacy for your grandchildren, great grandchildren, and anyone who comes next in your family tree to look back upon in the future. Your choice of photographer is so important in the grand scheme of things, and an investment in your visual legacy.

When I asked them what their favorite memory of their wedding day was, this was their response -
“THIS IS TOUGH! But both Lee and I keep saying our favorite memory of the day was the time we spent with Caitlinn and Laurel wandering around in the woods all dressed up in the gown and suit. It was picture perfect in every possible way. It gave us time to be our goofy selves in beautiful nature/foliage on our special day before standing in front of all of those we love dearly to say “I do”. Other fan favorites were Lee missing the glass under the Chuppah the first time and Tziona falling over the chair being lifted during the hora (only a favorite because she was ok!). We loved the moments that did not go perfectly, as it was just simply US!”

Why I transition right into your engagement shoot after documenting your surprise proposal…
The time is now!
The excitement, passion, love, and vibes are at their highest. Everything feels new and exciting, why wouldn’t we want to thoroughly document that moment?!

My surprise proposal collections are essentially a proposal and engagement shoot in one. They typically last about 2 hours (more if we go to multiple locations) and I absolutely love photographing them.

The proposer and myself work together for weeks to months in advance planning the location, timing, and making a plan on how to get their partner to dress in something they would want to be photographed in, without giving the surprise away.

All the planning is ALWAYS so worth it. And I love sharing with their partner - how much time, consideration, and effort went into this moment. If it’s quite simply - if they wanted to they would.

And when it comes to Alex + Annie, he wanted to, so he did, and it was all for her. ❤️

If you’re planning to hire a photographer to document your proposal - don’t wait until a few days before to reach out, it’s never too early to start planning this moment.

Tziona + Lee’s autumn wedding at is now live on my blog - Link in bio.

I adore these two and was so honored to get to document them. I am always honored when fellow creatives see my vision and feel that it is the right fit for them.

A total bonus is that I was absolutely obsessed with their wedding day looks - Lee’s amazing earth toned plaid suit by , and Tziona’s absolutely STUNNING long sleeve, low back, lace “Marta” dress by from .

The fall foliage in the Hudson Valley was in peak color and there happened to be swarms of Asian Lady Beetles that week (they were obsessed with landing on Tziona’s dress). The photographs document their getting ready to first look and the first half of their portraits. (More to come soon or go ahead and check out the blog post to see all the magic.)
