pasqualecuomophotography.com Hi Folks. My name is Pasquale J. I’ve been a photographer for more than 50 years, starting as an amateur in my teens. About 1980 I became a professional on a part time basis, and in 1985 I worked solely as a photographer for the more than 20 years. I had my own lab, extensive equipment and some prest
igious clients. I did quite a range of work: fashion, P/R, legal, architectural, weddings, advertising and more. I had some showings at the Alliance of Queens Artists Gallery, the Queens Museum, Queens Botanical Gardens and the NYC DCA Gallery on Columbus Circle. Quite a bit of my work found its way into trade magazines and publicity brochures. I see myself as an old school photographer, immersed in the artwork of The Hudson River School, Winslow Homer and Edward Hopper, and the photography of Mathew Brady, Andrew Russell, Edward Weston, Walker Evans, W. Eugene Smith and Ansel Adams. I made a career change in 2007. While I still did personal work, I backed away from extensive photography work. Film was going out, and digital was in. I stopped using my beloved Hasselblad. But film is coming back! This is what compelled me to bring out my Hasselblad 500C/M with ten lenses, a camera many consider THE finest medium format film camera ever. In the years leading up to my and during my photographic career, I had some remarkable travel experiences: Africa, Japan, Alaska, extensive trips through California, Europe and more. I’ve never put these images on line. Through much of this time period, this venue didn’t exist. These portfolios are being offered for the first time to folks like you. I’m planning to bring more to my website, and resume a photo journey as I seek new vistas.
