This session taught me that armadillos are nocturnal :)

The Earl family visited San Antonio from Michigan for a family vacation and wanted family photos with a Texas flare while here (how fun!). The kids shared that they reallllllly hoped to see an armadillo while here; I broke their hearts when I told them, in my 42 years, I haven't recalled ever seeing a living armadillo.

When I shared this story with my own son, he said, "Well, that's cuz they're nocturnal!" DUHHH!! I wish I could go back in time and tell the Earl kids to go for an after-dark hike with flashlights for the best chance!

Even if they headed home without an armadillo sighting, I know they'll still have *these* memories from their Texas vacation to cherish ❤️
