POV: you spent years hiding from the camera and then booked a bo***ir session anyway.

I will never get tired of watching someone realize their body was never the problem. The lighting, the confidence, the “do that again but look away this time” magic… it all adds up to images that feel like YOU, just turned all the way up.

She said yes to herself. When’s your turn?

Drop a 🍒 if a session like this scares you a little (that usually means you need it).

The moment she finally saw herself differently.
It's rarely just about the pictures. It's about all those years you were hard on yourself, and then finally deciding to see how amazing you really are.
This is what happens when you stop hiding.

This was her third bo***ir session. Two other photographers before me.

And she came in a little guarded. She told me the previous galleries just never quite felt like her. Nothing wrong with them. They just didn’t land the way she’d hoped. So she was hopeful this time, but holding a little back too.

Here’s the thing about how I shoot. I don’t stack you into stiff little poses and leave you there. We move. It’s fluid. One thing melts into the next and you barely notice you’re “posing” at all. You’re just in it.

And somewhere in there it shifted. She stopped posing at me and started existing in front of me. You can see it. Look at her by that window, the way she’s leaning into the light instead of away from it.

When she saw these, she got quiet. The good kind of quiet. She said “that actually looks like me.” Not a version of her. Her.

You shouldn’t have to warm up over multiple sessions to finally feel like yourself. I want to get it right the first time and make it feel so effortless you forget to be nervous. That’s the whole point. And watching hers click made my day. 😌

If you’ve done this before and didn’t quite feel it, don’t count yourself out. Sometimes the right room just hasn’t happened yet.

📸 Photographer friends, pulling you aside for a minute.

Fall is booking up and I’m opening a few things:

Two mentorship spots. If you’re tired of throwing spaghetti at the wall and calling it a business plan, come sit with me.

Two business overhaul audits. I’ll dig through your numbers and your workflow and tell you the truth about where you’re leaking money. Kindly. But honestly.

And my favorite one. If shooting is your joy and sales sessions make you want to hide under your desk, hand them to me. I’ll run your reveals and your sales while you go do the part you actually love. Taking on just a couple people for this.

Any of these poking at something? DM me. I keep these small on purpose.

People always ask me…

“Why do clients say they feel more daring by the end of their session than they did walking in?”

Because something shifts when a camera actually sees you.

Almost every client starts the same way:
“I don’t know if I can do this.”
“I’m nervous about the daring shots.”
“Let’s just see how I feel.”

And then we get into it.
And it turns into:
“Okay wait, I actually love this.”
“I didn’t think I’d feel this comfortable.”
“Can we do more like that one?”

It’s not about pushing anyone past their limit.
It’s about a room where you’re allowed to feel beautiful without earning it first.

With someone in your corner the whole time.
With zero judgment.
With permission to just be daring for once.

You don’t walk out more confident because you tried to.
You walk out that way because for one hour, nobody asked you to shrink. 🔥

And that’s exactly what I’m here for. 😘

We all have our versions of a little jackass. The emails that never stop, the laundry that piles up, or the toddler who needs you the second you sit down. It’s easy to feel like you have to do everything for everyone, all the time. But if you don’t set a boundary for yourself, you’ll eventually have nothing left to give. Taking five minutes to breathe is not selfish. Hell, taking the entire day for yourself is not selfish. It’s how you stay present for the people who actually need you. What’s your version of this donkey today? Tell me in the comments.

There’s a difference between being needed and being drained. When every person or task in your day feels like an emergency, it’s time to say, Hold on. I used to feel guilty for taking a moment to myself. Now I know it’s the only way I can stay patient. You aren’t failing by taking a break. You are just refueling. Do you struggle with giving yourself permission to pause? Tell me what you think below.

He almost didn’t let me share these.

Most men don’t. They book the session, show up nervous, let their guard all the way down in front of the camera, and then they decline the model release. Those images become a private gift for one person and disappear. That’s exactly why people still believe bo***ir is “a women’s thing.” The men are absolutely doing it. You just never get to see them.

This is still one of my favorite sessions I’ve ever shot. He walked in not knowing what to do with his hands and left standing like he owned the room. The long hair, the ink, the hockey stick, that grin in the last frame I will never get tired of looking at.

So to the man who said yes to letting these out into the world, thank you. You just made some other guy feel brave enough to book.

Bo***ir is for everyone. Tag the man who needs to hear it. 🤍

She came in as a baker, a crafter, a fiancée trying to do something brave for the person she loves.

She told me her confidence comes and goes.
That she wanted to look back at these images and know she felt truly beautiful.
Truly powerful.

And she did. 🥹

But here’s the thing nobody tells you before a session:

You walk in thinking you know exactly who you are in front of a camera.
“I’m not really a photo person.”
“I’ll just do a few looks.”
“I mostly want this for him anyway.”

And then something shifts.

Maybe it’s the light hitting you just right.
Maybe it’s the way your body looks in a corset you never would have picked for yourself.
Maybe it’s the moment you stop performing and just… exist.

And suddenly it’s not about the gift anymore.
It’s about what YOU see.

She booked this session as a wedding present.
She left with something she didn’t expect to find.

Proof that she’s both.
Soft and powerful.
Creative and sensual.
A people person who also takes up space unapologetically and looks STUNNING doing it. 🔥

That’s what this work is.
That’s why I do it.
