It’s time to FINALLY make my van more functional and sustainable for full time living 🚐 ✨

The entire back of my van was a bed that went with the length of the van. Most vans are not built this way and now I know why🥲

After living for a whole year with my storage trapped underneath my bed and absolutely no sitting area or table (unless I move my bed to access the huge table underneath which I NEVER did) I realized I needed to change the layout if I was gunna move back in.

I rearranged the space to lift the bed and rotate it so it’s not fixed in place and I don’t have to move it to get to my storage anymore!

It also freed up a ton of space for extra storage AND I now have 2 bench seats and will add a table for permanent seating!

These changes are going to be a GAMECHANGER for van life this summer 🥲🥳

One thing I wish more couples knew:

You are allowed to build an elopement day around your actual energy levels.

Not every elopement needs a 10 mile hike.
Not every elopement needs a luxury dinner reservation either.

Your day can look like:
- an easy trail + slow intentional moments
- a huge backpacking adventure
- a steamy cozy morning at an Airbnb
- off roading into the mountains
- taking breaks all throughout the day
- inviting family for one part and having privacy later

There’s no “correct” way to elope.
The best days are the ones that actually feel sustainable and present for YOU.

I hope Ellie has inspired you to wear a cape for your elopement! 😮‍💨

I’d say most of my ladies don’t love the idea of a veil and I totally get it! A veil doesn’t sit right with everyone!

But I will sayyyy, as a photographer - I LOVE veil in the wind moment 👌🏼

But Ellie found a way to slayyy without a veil and got a cape instead! It was insanely magical and so easy to navigate! Her dress had hidden snaps so she could snap the cape right onto her dress!

I always want you to wear what feels BEST for you! But I do just want to say, wearing a flowy dress with a veil/cape adds so much movement to your images!

You can actually visually see the wind flow through your photos and it adds a kind of magic that’s hard to describe!

Just food for thought if anyone is looking for inspo while you’re searching for your dress and accessories 🤤

In case you’re new here - meet Desi girl!!🐶💕

She’s my 7 year old Australian shepherd side kick! Chances are you’ll get to meet her at the beginning or end of your elopement since she is almost always with me!

She’s moved across the country with me several times! She has road-tripped across the east and west, car camped, back packed through rugged mountain terrain, hiked endless miles, swam in the ocean, rivers, and alpine lakes, has lived in a van with me for a year, and I couldn’t imagine my life without her!

So many more adventures to come with my sweet girl 🩷
