Petra wasn't rediscovered by the Western world until 1812, even though it had been a thriving trade city for centuries before that. Walk through the narrow Siq canyon and the Treasury appears almost without warning, carved directly into rose-colored rock. Few places make an entrance quite like this one.

People ask why I photograph wildlife the way I do, patient, from a distance, sometimes waiting hours for one shot. Because the animal's comfort always comes before my photo. Always. That's not a style choice. It's a boundary I won't cross, and it's baked into everything MyTravel4Ever stands for.

8 million tons of plastic enter our oceans every year, and a shocking amount of it ends up on the very beaches and reefs we travel to see. Traveling with a reusable water bottle and saying no to single-use plastic isn't going to fix it alone. But multiplied across every traveler who does it, it adds up fast.

Skip the nap when you land, no matter how tired you are. Get outside, get sunlight, and push through to local bedtime.

Your body clock resets faster with light exposure more than it ever will lying in a dark hotel room at 3pm.

Ha Long Bay, Vietnam looks like a place that shouldn't exist: nearly 2,000 limestone islands rising straight out of emerald water. Drift through it on a slow boat at sunrise, and the whole world goes quiet except for the water.

Travel isn't a checklist for me. It never has been. It's connection: to a place, to the people who call it home, to a version of myself I only meet when I'm far from routine.

That's what I want MyTravel4Ever to keep pointing back to.

The best wildlife photo is the one you didn't have to get close for.

A good zoom lens does more for animal welfare than any wide-angle close-up ever could. Give wildlife the space to behave naturally, and you'll usually get a better shot anyway; stressed animals don't make for good photos.
