I was doing a little cleaning and came across the brainstorm sheet for when we were trying to come up with a name for Photo Retro.

Here it is in all it's glory.

A while back I had the opportunity to work with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Museum and Nord Anglia making photographs to be used online and as banners and other marketing around the MIT campus.

Here is an assortment of photographs made during those days.

It's HIPPO time!!

Hippo Best Of 2026 • "233 Cool Things About New Hampshire"

On newsstands now!

The 2026 magazine edition of Hippo's "BEST OF" has hit the stands and to celebrate I wanted to share a small selection of my favorite images taken during these assignments.

Make sure you pick up the magazine (usually wherever the newsprint edition can be found) and please visit this year’s reader-voted winners and give them your love.

Congrats to everyone nominated and awarded!

I mean, if you have a drone with you, and you end up at the stone arch bridge with your bikes, you simply HAVE to get some kind of epic 360-video and stick in some stupid LOTR-style music to celebrate the moment.

I'm still learning how to use this little "selfie" drone, but it can do some pretty awesome stuff for what it is.

Sara and I did 20 miles around the fabulous rail trails of Keene NH this past Sunday. The Cheshire Rail Trail and the Ashuelot Rail Trail are mixes of paved and gravel trails, and it was the maiden voyage for the new GravelKing tires that I put on a few weeks ago. I've got my bike set up just the way I want it now, and these tires glide like butter compared to the knobby mountain bike tires that have been on it for the past 30 years. It rides like a new bike.

Big props to Sara, who stuck right with me all 20 miles and her little legs pedaled like crazy!

A gentleman named Pino left a comment on a blog post I made a while back talking about how I mounted my radio trigger on my Polaroid I-2 camera. He asked if I had any examples of images shot with studio lighting I could show him. I didn't have much to show him, so I thought it would be great to do a little informational video walking through the process.

Thanks, Pino. This is for you. And everyone else.

This can be done with probably any radio trigger unit. I'm using old Cybersync triggers with a 2.5mm male-to-male cable that plugs into the back of the Polaroid. Cables and triggers vary, so make sure you do some research to find out what you have.

Any questions? Leave 'em down below!

The Blue Line had just left leaving us behind in a flurry of wind and screeching brakes. Before I headed up the stairs to change lines, I looked ahead and I couldn't believe the textures and lines and lights, and I grabbed my camera and made a few exposures. Everything is so gritty and oily and in turn makes it wonderful and beautiful to photograph.
