I had an opportunity to spend the night out on Thacher Island just off the coast of Rockport recently and this is one of the images I was able to catch on an incredibly beautiful morning. I love the perspective the drone provides of the North tower and the sun just peaking over the horizon marking the dawn of a new day.

I was reminded about this this image I made a couple of years ago of Derby Wharf Light in Salem and just had someone order a metal print of it (Thank you Ally). It was one of beautiful calm windless mornings taken before the harbor was filled with boats for the summer season. I was standing on the jetty below mesmerized by the colors in the sky and reflected in the water, it was so peaceful only the gulls could be heard which seems to be a running theme when making many of my images. Taken shortly before my last post this skiff sits motionless waiting for the tide to rise and lift it off the harbor floor. Used to ferry people and supplies back and forth to boats moored in the harbor they sit waiting to be put to work. Low tide at Rockport Harbor during sunrise might be one of my favorite places to be. It's so peaceful, before even fishermen arrive to start their day these dingys lay motionless on the harbor bottom waiting for the tide to lift them up and be put to use. Cheers! Jason

I was pleasantly surprised to have Pemaquid Light park almost entirely to myself. Other than a couple of people who pulled in to watch the sunrise from the parking lot it was just me, a beautiful cool breeze and the sounds of the waves. Off to Ireland this evening for the first time, hope to have to images to share with you next week when I get back. Have a great week. Cheers!

Low tide and not a breath of wind at Front beach in Rockport, MA. at sunrise made for a nice reflection of the Shalin Liu Performance Center. Not a soul in sight, only the sound of gently lapping waves and the occasional gull making its presence known.

Many of you who follow my photography work reside in the greater Cape Ann area so wanted to this to my photo page as well as my personal page.

Thank you to all who've reached out with your thoughts and prayers about my brother Dan who we lost far too soon last week. He was an incredibly loving Father, proud Marine, Fire Fighter and and a better older brother I could not have asked for, he will be missed by many. Love you brother.
