This silly goose has officially graduated from my Baby’s First Year package! 🥹💕

Third brother. ❤️

I’ve had the honor of photographing all three brothers for their senior portraits, and this time we got to incorporate a little football into the session. Because senior photos should be about more than just looking at the camera and smiling—they should include the things that make them them.

Three brothers down, and there’s only one more sibling left… their little sister. I have a feeling that session is going to be a little emotional. 😭

This session made me want to go back and do a full session with each of my kids at this age.

Because here’s the thing…there are no do-overs.

They really are only little for a little while.

You think you’ll remember it all.

You won’t.

So take the pictures. Even when someone refuses to cooperate. Even when someone needs a snack. Even when everyone is a little chaotic.

Those are the moments you’ll miss someday. ❤️

And this recent Salisbury Beach family session was a pretty perfect reminder of that.

Newborn photos with a toddler. What could possibly go wrong? 😂

The answer: pretty much everything.

Snacks. Meltdowns. Random toddler escapes. Aggressive baby kisses. And approximately 47 seconds of cooperation.

But we don't need perfect. We just need a few good moments. ❤️

This session started off… rough. 😂

Baby did NOT like me.
He did NOT like my toys.
He did NOT like any of my carefully perfected photographer tricks.

Basically, I was getting fired from my own job.

Then we brought out the cake.

Turns out he wasn't mad at me.

He was **HANGRY.** 😂🎂

Once that cake appeared, everything changed. The cake smash was fantastic, the smiles came out, and the bubble bath was the perfect ending to this ONEder the Sea celebration. 🐚🌊🫧

A good reminder that sometimes the solution isn't a better trick.

It's just snacks.
