Here was a tough situation. Cast was a little long but well in line with the fish. The problem was that the jig head caught a face full of dead grass and became pretty ineffective. Ideally if the cast was a tad bit shorter, the situation might’ve played out differently. Also, something I think about is how a fly rod in the right hands tends to be a better option on a flood tide.
