Alexa + Jack’s engagement session at Isle of Palms looked like something out of a dream.

Soft cotton candy skies, pastel blues and pinks reflecting over the water, and the most beautiful Charleston sunset wrapping around them the entire evening.

Now their wedding weekend is almost here, and I genuinely cannot wait to see them again and document everything that’s ahead. Counting down the days until these two officially become husband and wife. 💍

One of the most impactful decisions couples make while planning their wedding is often something they don’t fully realize until the photos are delivered… the venue and color palette.

A bright white venue with bold florals and abundant natural light will photograph completely differently than a candlelit space layered with darker tones and moodier textures. Neither is better — they simply create different visual experiences.

I genuinely love both aesthetics and the creative challenge of moving between them. Every space asks something different from the artist behind the camera. Some weddings lean airy, vibrant, and light-filled, while others embrace depth, contrast, warmth, and emotion.

A Charleston wedding day that felt like the best of both seasons—where a hint of winter lingered in the air and spring began to show off. Their celebration at The Parsonage was filled with beautiful laughter, and so much intention.

Surrounded by friends and family who traveled to Charleston to celebrate, the energy of the day was undeniable—joyful, supportive, and full of life. The kind of group that makes every moment feel even more meaningful.

The evening continued at Parcel 32 with an intimate dinner, heartfelt toasts, and a seamless transition into a night of celebration.

Charleston showed up in style for the We Heart Charleston event — an evening dedicated to raising awareness for heart health while celebrating the creativity and collaboration within our local community. ❤️

From the behind-the-scenes moments of the team helping the model step into the gown to the final walk down the runway, it was a beautiful reminder that every incredible look starts with talented hands working together.
