I can only be in one place at a time................Moments don't just wait for me to get there, and they don't happen twice. Swipe through to see why a second photographer is so important on your wedding day. All of these are the same moments shot from two places at once. Some people ask me if a second shooter means twice the amount of photos, the answer is not really. It means the right photos. The reactions you'd have missed, the wide shot that shows the whole room, the coverage while I'm reloading, or moving, or crouched in a corner setting up the perfect shot. It also means redundancy. Two cameras, two perspectives, four cards. On a day with no do overs that matters more than most couples realize.
It's what full coverage actually looks like :)

Some things are meant to be kept, a wedding day passes in a blur but the photographs stay, and get handed down. That's what I make: not a gallery you scroll though once or twice, but a story your children and grandchildren can pull off a shelf someday and open.

This rebrand isn't just about a new look and the way my work has grown over the last few years, but it's a look into my story and the why behind why I do what I do.

I'm so thankful for this cool job I have.

I'M BEYOND GRATEFUL for the couples and families who have already trusted me with their day and special seasons. THANK YOU. You have let me into the most special and intimate days of your lives and you are the reason this next chapter exists at all.

To every couple still coming: I can't wait. I'm so excited to hear how you met, to meet your grandma, to find pretty light in a room I've never stood in before, to witness your commitment to each other on one of the best, & most happy days of your lives! I can't wait to hand you something to cherish and hold for generations to come.

Hi friend! I'm Melody!

I'm a wedding photographer based in NC who shoots for the future just as much as the present so what you hand down isn't just pictures, but proof of a love that started it all.

Some weddings deserve one more chapter... 🤍
After their destination wedding in Pray Montana was over, we met for a bridal session at Moses Cone Manor in Blowing Rock, North Carolina and it couldn't have been more perfect.
Just before we began, a summer storm rolled through. And for a minute, it looked like our plans might be washed away. But then, as if nature had its own timeline, the clouds parted and the sky exploded into the most breathtaking sunset. Golden light poured across the Blue Ridge Mountains, creating a backdrop more beautiful than we could have imagined.
As if that wasn't enough, a small group of deer quietly wandered into view, making the evening feel almost magical. It was one of those moments you simply can't plan you can only be grateful to witness.
What made this session even more meaningful was a dress. Instead of just wearing her new gown , she chose to wear her mother's 25-year-old wedding dress as well, honoring the woman who helped shape her into the bride she is today. Watching her walk through the fields in a gown that started with generations of love was incredibly moving.
These are the moments I cherish most as a photographer not just beautiful portraits, but stories. Stories of legacy, family, unexpected beauty after the storm, and love that spans generations.

Congratulations to this beautiful bride. Thank you for trusting me to capture such a meaningful part of your journey. ✨🤍

Your wedding day will move fast. Like, really fast. 🤍

Between the first look, the ceremony, the tears, the toasts, the dancing — there's very little time to just *be* in your dress and soak in the moment.

That's exactly why I'm obsessed with bridal sessions.

It's just you. Your dress. No timeline pressure, no guests waiting, no photographer rushing you to the next shot. Just a full hour (or more) of feeling like the most beautiful version of yourself with nowhere else to be.

And the photos? They're different. Softer. More intentional. Because we had the time to actually make them that way.

Bonus: you'll also figure out how to move in your dress, how your veil catches the light, and how to work with your photographer before the highest-stakes day of your life. That confidence shows up in every single wedding photo afterward.

A bridal session isn't an extra. It's an investment in yourself.
