“Just a warning… my husband HATES photos.”
I hear some version of this before sessions all the time…
And no, I don’t take it personally.
Most dads didn’t spend weeks planning outfits, researching photographers, or counting down the days until family photo day.
But every year, I watch dads show up anyway.
They carry their kiddos on their shoulders.
They tell some silly jokes.
They give all the piggyback rides.
They snuggle toddlers who won’t sit still
And years later, those moments become some of the most valuable photographs they have.
Because the truth is your kids really won’t remember whether family photos were your favorite way to spend a Saturday evening. They’ll just remember that you were there.
And one day, they’ll be incredibly grateful they have proof of it. ❤️
