Back in June of 2021, there was a tornadic supercell that came right across downtown Mishawaka. I was there on the Main St. bridge capturing it every moment along the way. Thankfully this rotating storm did not produce a tornado that day, but it was intense nonetheless.

These photos was shared 4,000 times on facebook and that night and in the following days, were featured on WNDU, WSBT, and ABC57 as well as on the National Weather Service page.

When you're in New Buffalo, MI next time, go to the beach on a clear day and see if you can see the Chicago skyline. It's not always possible given the curvature of the Earth, but when the atmosphere is right and the light bends around the curve, the mirage of the skyline can be quite striking.
