🚨 EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY — A CHANGE TO HOW I SHARE YOUR GALLERIES 🚨
I’m making a decision for my photography business that I want to be completely transparent about.
I will no longer be publicly posting identifiable images of children on The Portrait Atelier’s social media pages — signed model release or not.
As a photographer, I’m trusted with some of the most precious moments in my clients’ lives. That trust comes with a responsibility that I take incredibly seriously.
With the rapid advancement of AI and the ways publicly available photographs can potentially be manipulated, altered, or misused, I simply cannot justify taking unnecessary risks with images of children.
A signed release gives me permission to share an image. It doesn’t mean I have to.
And when it comes to protecting children, I would rather be overly cautious than wish I had been more careful.
Will this affect my business?
Maybe. And honestly, I’m okay with that.
My business is important to me. Photography is my passion, my livelihood, and something I’ve worked incredibly hard to build.
But children’s safety and my clients’ trust will always matter more than content, engagement, or marketing.
I can still showcase my work through:
📸 Adult sessions
💍 Weddings & elopements
🖤 Bo***ir & dudeoir
👨👩👧👦 Family sessions where children are not identifiable
✨ Detail shots, locations, styling & behind-the-scenes content
🎨 Creative crops and images that protect a child’s identity
This isn't about judging photographers who make a different choice. It’s about the choice I’m making for my business and the families who trust me.
I want every parent who steps in front of my camera to know that I take the responsibility of photographing their children seriously.
Your memories belong to you. Your children’s privacy belongs to them. And protecting both will always come before my business. 🤍
