Breaking Shot Photography

None of my photoshoots would be complete without black and white copies of all your photos. Sure I do it for everyone I shoot but it’s also for me. I have such a deep passion for black and white photography because it’s really where I found my love for the art. The first class I ever took in college was a black and white film class where I shot and developed all my photos. Since then it’s completely taken over my life and I could not be happier.

All these photos reminded me of the old Hollywood black and white movies when they used harsh lighting to really make the shots stand out. Seeing a scene only with highlights and shadows brings a depth and focus to a scene that colors can often distract from. Also I started watching the new spider-man noire show and this song fit perfectly with these photos.

Another roll from my trip to Baugo Creek. Loved how pretty much every shot on this roll came out. If you plan on shoot I highly suggest finding as much green as possible as that will give you the best results.

Day 2 on set with .studio

This is what I love capturing! A day on set there are so many moving parts that go into a production and so many amazing people working to make it run smoothly. did such a great job putting the set together exactly how needed it, as I made sure things were put together and doing assistant duties. I learn so much being on these sets and I’m grateful for the opportunities to help when I can. I will be posting a few more shots from a completely different shoot soon.

I mention this a lot about my passion for capturing Behind the Scenes on sets and this past week I have had the opportunity to work some professionals that excel at their craft. .studio .perkinsdp and are masters at their craft and it’s been nothing but pure elation working and creating with these guys and working with to tell some amazing stories. Absolutely great working with this team last weekend! Can’t tell you how smooth it went shooting at least 50 teams and hundreds of kids went making sure the kids and their parents have memories of this time in their life. Honestly I wish we had photographers like this when I played sports as a kid.

Huge thank you to this awesome crew for helping make East Side picture day a success. Couldn't have done it without them.

Long day, lots of teams, and plenty of chaos, but we got it done and had a great time doing it. Couldn’t have asked for a better group to work with!

Took a nature walk with my friend the other day down at baugo creek and got some great shots of nature. I have another roll on the way that should be a stark contrast to these that I’m looking forward to seeing 🟪. Thanks to for the amazing development and scans of my shots.
