Recent Photowalk with Gene’s Camera Jon Mayer Johntré Vaughn and his awesome wife. Definitely wish the weather would have been better but I still love how these photos came out. Part 2 biking with

Quick tip for photographers and businesses who dread posting their work on social media.

Scheduling your posts is something I highly recommend. Plan a day around it and get it done. I’m sure there are plenty of people who would rather not see another post on their feed but remember you aren’t making your posts for the people who don’t care. You are making them for the ones that do. Currently I’m making this post the same day I made Part 1 of this short series and the reason I love making these is because of the support I get from the people who always like my work, and of course because I enjoy it myself.

I could post shoots I get paid for everyday but I’d much rather be known as the photographer who just loves shooting for the love of shooting. It will never matter to me what I’m shooting because I already love doing it so much.

I hope everyone in life gets to find a passion they love so much it consumes their soul to the point you do it everyday, all day, and it never tires you out. Instead it lights a fire deep inside you everyday.

If you read this far thank you and I hope you continue to enjoy the work I’m truly passionate about.

LangLab South Bend a place where artist make art.

The other day when I stopped by to grab a few shots I walked around the building and really liked seeing art that was hidden. I could really tell this was a place for artist to grow. Since I have been working with The Lens Lounge at Langlab I really get that feeling of a supportive creative community from everyone here and I’m excited to see it grow and change and even do more of my own art here.

If you are looking to book myself for your next shoot I now have an amazing studio for us to shoot at that’s always changing and allowing for creativity to flourish. I can really see doing an awesome grunge graffiti shoot where I took these photos.

Saw this cool looking flower out back of / and come to find out that it’s a . What’s interesting about this plant is that the berries it produces are actually edible and can be used for lemonade or jellies. Now I wouldn’t test this unless I’m absolutely positive, but if that’s what it is I’d definitely be interested in trying it. I did witness a squirrel nearby eating under one of these so it might be exactly that.

Fireworks on Film

This was my first time shooting fireworks with film and even with the worst tripod, I’d have to say these turned out pretty good. Talk about shooting film being a gamble this was even more of a risk. Shooting with a 135mm lens and being pretty close as well this could have easily gone wrong. I also basically had to cold the camera still and hold the shutter down so I could get a longer exposure because I forgot my cable shutter release. As many things that could have gone wrong I’m very happy how these turned out.
