Last month, I put up a poll on my Instagram stories asking for feedback on what new sets you'd like to see in the studio. Dark & moody was the overwhelming winner! So, I quickly got to work planning how I could transform my small studio to have some different options for sets.

As a result, I spent most of July painting the studio and setting up some new props. It was a lot of work but I'm so happy with the results! The best part is I was also able to incorporate some floral and boho elements, while also keeping some options for my classic light & bright photos. I'm excited for the new variety I can offer my clients who have different styles and tastes.

I'm planning to offer a limited edition session day in September or October for past clients who want photos with the new options. DM me if you want first dibs on availability!

Imagine being a young mother, breastfeeding your baby, and discovering a lump.

That's exactly what happened to this incredible woman.

At just 34 years old, she suddenly found herself navigating breast cancer while raising two young children. Suddenly, chemotherapy, a mastectomy and radiation were part of her daily life in addition to caring for her young family.

Earlier this year, I had the privilege of photographing her before her mastectomy. We had a fabulous time in the studio on a sunny but cold January day documenting her body before her surgery. Her photos are stunning, but what stood out most was her positive attitude and her faith that everything was going to be ok.
