Denise + David's love story started like many do in Minneapolis: at a coffee shop on a cold December day. They'd planned to meet at Spyhouse Coffee in Northeast Minneapolis, but when Denise pulled into the lot, it was completely packed. She texted David, and they decided to to switch their meeting spot to Dogwood Coffee a block away, where she had parked. David, however, had parked in the opposite direction, which led to a hilariously awkward walk toward each other across a very long parking lot.
But once they settled into a window seat, the awkwardness quickly disappeared. They talked for hours about everything and anything. What was meant to be a quick coffee date stretched on over a latte, an Americano, and some truly questionable pastries (an inside joke to this day). Denise had plans to meet her friend that would one day become her Man of Honor, CJ, afterward, but it became clear she was going to be late… by four hours.
The spark between them was undeniable. Last June, they brought that same playful energy to their engagement session with my associate Ceri at Square Lake County Park, exploring the forest, splashing in the lake, and laughing their way through every moment. Capturing couples like Denise + David, whose connection is effortless and full of life, is exactly why I love what I do. If you want your own story told in pictures, let’s make it happen!
