Every pregnancy is unique, is beautiful, and always full of fears and hopes.
When it comes to more than one little peanut cooking, the risks grow faster than the children do. With twins, its more common than not for Mom to be bed ridden by 25 weeks, with births being before 30 weeks, and its rare for twins to make it past 34 weeks. Even with these facts, it does not lessen the shock and hurt that comes with the reality of carrying twins.
Now, we pivot from the plans we originally had. Instead of fields and sunsets and beaches for the maternity session; we have hospital rooms and courtyards and time limits. Its now doctors, nurses, IVs, antibiotics, monitoring, and heavy restrictions.
But its not all bad. There is good here. Its just a path that wasn't on the map before. This is the reality of the Pittelkow family.
Until these little peanuts decide to evacuate, Mama Katrina will be in the hospital. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they stay in for at least another 4 weeks, but again - every pregnancy is different. I'm an optimistic person and I will this positive energy into existence! (Ive been whisper shouting at her belly for the girls to stay put lol)
The session may not have been what was originally planned, but i must say, these are some of the cutest maternity pictures I've taken yet. Miss Freya is a natural! She knew exactly how to pose before I even said anything! Katrina and Jake are use to this, so of course they knew what to do!
We made do with the situation at hand and I believe they turned out beautifully! Here is a little sneak peek💕
