This week’s experiment: Could daily auctions become another income stream for my art business?

I follow several artists who do daily auctions and make a significant portion of their income that way, so for seven days I listed one original each day with bidding starting at just $20.

And I LOVED having a sale happening every day. 😂 It was fun, people got excited about bidding, and every single piece sold.

The numbers were a little less exciting.

Altogether, the auctions brought in about 43% of the artwork’s normal retail value. So while it generated consistent sales, I don’t think selling my work at that percentage would be sustainable as an everyday strategy if the ultimate goal is to make this my full-time income.
But that’s exactly why I wanted to try it!
Not every experiment has to become the thing. Sometimes you find something you want to keep—just in a different way.

Daily auctions? Probably not. In my stories so far you’re voting for weekly and I think that will be fun!

One Friday closer to full-time. 🤞🏻
