On my recent Disney cruise, I pixie dusted a few families with a photo!

The photography package is crazy expensive and all the folks who I dusted all say they couldn't justify spending that money. So I was glad to be able to do a little something.

The Disney Cruise Line logo and funnels made for a wonderful backdrop!

I’ve been rather MIA lately but taking some time off with my family. My first ever cruise in the books! OF COURSE it had to be Disney! (If you don’t know we go about 2x a year). It was such an experience and my daughter had the time of her life. Already thinking about when we can do another one.

Couples who are looking for a wedding photographer....

I cannot stress enough to make sure you ask any potential photog you hire for full galleries. I have seen MANY photographers who are posting photos that are either stolen or from a styled shoot. There is nothing wrong with styled shoot photos, but they are far different than how the flow of an actual wedding day goes.

And using stolen photos is illegal.

Whenever someone reaches out for EOL photography for a pet, it's probably one of my favorite sessions to offer.

Marissa reached out for her father Chris' cat, Lola, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Unfortunately for Lola, there is not really anything that can be done, other than make sure she's comfortable and loved.

So on a Sunday, I met with Chris, his family and Lola. This was a first for me photographing a cat, and not surprisingly Lola seemed to be unbothered by my presence! But I always make sure to take it at my subjects pace and she was wonderfully tolerant but once she had enough, she trotted upstairs. But not before gracing all of us with her presence on the balcony for a few last photos and as if to bid me farewell.

Sometimes I don't know what is tougher, knowing what is coming or in my case, it all happening in a whirlwind. It's either you don't get a chance to process your pet's passing, or it's all just a thousand cuts.

From Chris - “I adopted her in late December 2019, just before the world shut down. When the pandemic began and I started working from home, we suddenly spent every day together, and she became my constant companion. All she ever wanted was to be close—curling up beside me for cuddles day and night. She’s the sweetest little soul, and having her by my side has made every day brighter. 🐾”

I hope your days continue to be bright as long as they can.

More snow…you don’t say! As someone who hates everything winter and the cold and snow, I’m having PTSD LOL.

So, wonderful time to mention - did you know that my family is from Costa Rica? I remember every summer from a young age being shipped south to live with family so whenever I go it really feels like I am going “home”. Way back then, the county was not very developed and only a handful of hotels scattered the Pacific coast.

But there are plenty of untouched locations that take my breath away and I’m regretting not jetting there ahead of this upcoming blizzard.

Currently freezing in 13° weather and daydreaming about Bruny & Oscar’s beautiful summer beach wedding at the Jacky Durell Pavilion ☀️

These two shared the sweetest first look at gorgeous Booth Park, where we captured some stunning formals before heading to Fairfield for those perfect beachy vibes. Warm air, bright sunshine, and an unforgettable celebration with so much love and laughter and DANCING all around.

Counting down the days until summer feels like this again 💛

When Kelsi and I started talking about locations for her and Sam’s engagement session, they chose Bube’s Brewery—a place I’d never even heard of. Then she mentioned the catacombs… excuse me—catacombs?! 😳

As I quickly learned, Bube’s is the last intact 19th-century lager brewery in the U.S., and it is absolutely incredible. The stone catacombs—now used for dining—have such a unique ambiance you’d swear you weren’t even in Pennsylvania. There are even stories of hauntings… including sightings of a woman in a flowing white dress.

We were lucky enough to have the space to ourselves, and Kelsi and Sam were an absolute joy to work with. I already can’t wait for their October wedding day!

It’s been a little over three months since Laura & Courtney’s wedding, and I still find myself thinking about the beautiful simplicity of their day. Just the two of them, their son, and their closest family and friends coming together to celebrate their love.
The weather held out just long enough for the sparkler exit and the soft, cloudy skies made the fall colors Laura chose for her wedding party pop even more.
And a funny behind-the-scenes moment — while photographing the bridal party, Courtney’s groomsmen pulled out a sack of chewing to***co. Curious, I asked what it tasted like… and they were very willing to let me try it 😂 I passed, but the moment definitely gave us all a good laugh.
