Oh Snap! Sh❤️t just got REAL!

Now that the big reveal is out, I can share here! I've only been keeping this secret for MONTHS y'all! ✌️😂 (side eyes Jamie... SIDE EYES.) LOL LOVE YOU.

I was HONORED to spend the afternoon and evening capturing THE most sweetest, funniest, and epic love story moments between my good friend Jamie Herskind and her beautiful (drum roll please....) 🥁...⭐️FIANCE⭐️ Stephanie Katruska to officially announce their engagement! EEEEEEEK!!

Oh how I love being the keeper of secrets!! Sneak peek edits today for Tuesday's engagement session that was OH. EM. GEE TO DIE FOR 😍📸 I have been keeping this secret for MONTHS Y'ALL! I won't be posting until the couple shares the news! Stay tuned! 🤫

Many of my friends and followers know this amazing couple- but probably don't know yet they are tying the knot!! 💍🎉 Eeeeeek! 😍 Their session was entirely too much fun and the results are 🔥🤯🤩😍🥰

Last year's NILMDTS mama sent over her first selfie with her sweet angel baby yesterday sent from sweet Miss M herself, and I am already so in love and cannot wait to meet her in the next few weeks for her newborn photos! 🥰📸

Today is earmarked for laundry, sneak peek edits, and packing and prep for wrapping up this weekends events on the books 😍📸

As a photographer, there is hands down no better text, message or call to get than this!!! 🥹😭😍⬇️

This sweet mama has been saved in my contacts since last August when we met on a summer afternoon in the peaceful light of a labor and delivery room. While some babies come into the world fierce and loud, sweet Miss M was born sleeping, beautiful and perfect in every way. We spent several hours capturing every little detail, moments engraved in eternity and forever protected and cherished.

This morning, as we speak, this beautiful mama is welcoming and loving on her rainbow baby, and my heart is just BURSTING WITH JOY!! 🥰🥰🥰

You KNOW I called up mama the second her text came in to start arranging travel for her newborn photos! 📸

For those of you who don't already know, I am an affiliated volunteer photographer for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. These sessions are typically not shared to my page for the privacy and respect for the families, even when they give me permission to do so. But please know -

When you attend a birthday party for one of your daughter's besties on a gorgeous coastal day and bring your gear along, say "not making any promises" (just to establish realistic boundaries) and then all the stars align, your settings are on point, the TOTES understands the assignment, and you end up rounding off over 1K shutter clicks with this as your final cull list for the day ✌️🤣 🤷‍♀️📸💋 | Curtis Candids Photography

Spring time + tax return season often means an oversaturation of the market.

Photography is an art, and we have some phenomenal artists in our area. Be sure to choose wisely when deciding whom to entrust your timeless memories to. While professional photographers strive to remain flexible for others' budgets, there is so much that goes into your session before and after, both in preparation, gear prep, and post editing, that often gets lost in translation; and photographers are people with families and lives, and budgets, too 💛

I will never be offended when I am out of your price range, or when a restrictive budget leads you to book elsewhere. I am honored that you thought of me! I still pride myself on offering a more affordable option for the level of professional services I offer, 💋

Sessions will last between 15 and 20 minutes, guaranteeing a minimum of 10 high resolution images; however my sessions are not capped; meaning what I'm happy with, you WILL receive in your final album, with no hidden fees, and free of my watermark. Final albums are delivered via online gallery for download within 48 hours. All sessions include a complimentary print and media share release. Sessions are $125 with a deposit required to hold. While deposits are non-refundable, they are transferrable to another date should something come up! I understand life happens and strive to stay flexible!

Kiddo's already flew the nest? Come play anyway! Fur babies and "might as well be family" welcome! 📸

Dragonfly Metamorphosis | April 2026

Have you ever seen the metamorphosis process of a Dragonfly? Neither had I! I was lucky enough to stumble across a dragonfly nest in full meta boom yesterday while at the lake with family and friends. The entire process took just a few hours, and was fascinating to watch! I photographed around 8 in total, and watched each and every single one gain their strength to fly away 😍📸

I can't tell you how many times I've chased dragonflies to no avail. I was simply looking at the flowers near the base of an old stump when I suddenly realized what was right in front of me! Stunning detail can be found in even the smallest of creatures if you stop and look closely 💛
