Your dog doesn't have to be perfectly trained to have great portraits.

Sitting, running, sniffing, howling, looking everywhere except the camera... it's all a part of the story.

A little patience, a little play, lots of treats, and plenty of personality go a long way.

My first Christmas session of the season is next weekend but you still have time for fall portraits!

We are definitely at peak color and it's so gorgeous out there. I have Simplicity Sessions available at my favorite Mebane locations or we can do a Signature Session and take a trip for something even more scenic!

📸 I had a tree fall in the meadow recently but it created this little arch of foliage and if there's two things a photographer will nerd out about, it's good lighting and unexpected framing. Add in an adorable puppy dog with a bowtie and it's perfect! This portrait is going to look great as an acrylic block on his owner's desk.

A little Christmas fun for my returning clients!

I have just FOUR spots left for Santa's Lap Sessions on December 5th!

We're keeping things simple with a quick visit with Santa for some classic Christmas portraits. But we're also making a little party out of it with Christmas treats, crafts, and letters to Santa!

Let's talk about props in senior portraits.

I've got nothing against balloons, giant numbers, or those big blocks that spell SENIOR. They're fun!

But you know what I love even more?

Props that actually mean something.

Like Grandpa's old Ford tractor.

It's not new and trendy but it's part of his story, and that's what makes it worth including.

When we're planning senior portraits, I want to know about the things that matter to YOU. Your hobbies, your interests, your family traditions, even that old tractor sitting out in the barn.

Because your senior portraits should tell us something about who you are, not just what year you're graduating.

Christmas portraits are getting a little makeover this year, and I'm so excited to share what's new!

This year, instead of traditional 15-minute minis, we're doing Holiday Simplicity Sessions, with more flexibility, more choices, and plenty of ways to enjoy your photographs!

You get to choose the date that works best for your family AND pick your favorite of four Christmas room scenes! Whether you're dreaming of Christmas cookie chaos in the kitchen or something a little more classic, you can make your session your own.

And we're giving ourselves a little breathing room!

Sessions are up to 45 minutes, but that doesn't mean we'll need all 45. If your kids come in ready to go and we're done in 30 minutes, great! But if someone needs a few minutes to warm up, explore the decorations, or take a snack break, there's no rush.

And here's something you're going to love. You'll get to see your photographs and place your order before you leave!

We'll go through your favorites together, talk about what you'd like to do with them, and get everything ordered. One less thing on your to-do list!

And just think of all the ways you'll get to enjoy those Christmas portraits!

Ornaments for the grandparents, Christmas cards for the fridge, prints wrapped up under the tree, and framed portraits that come out with the Christmas decorations year after year.

If you've already booked a traditional mini session, nothing changes! Your original booking will be honored. Keepsake Collective families will still have mini session options, too. And Christmas Minis with a mini horse at NCTRC are still happening as planned!

I'm a little obsessed with how this year's Trick or Treat set came together!

I wanted it to feel like a cozy little Halloween corner with pumpkins, ghosts, witchy details, and just enough spooky glow to make it all feel magical.

And I know darn well that by the end of Saturday, my little visitors will have completely rearranged the pumpkins, moved a few decorations around, and probably given me a whole new set design.

Which is all good because we're here to have fun and make memories, not sit stiffly in a chair.

Local businesses, let's make some Christmas magic for the pets!

I'm looking to partner with a few local businesses to bring Christmas pet portraits directly to their customers and communities this holiday season!

Think apartment communities, pet stores, groomers, doggie daycares, veterinary offices, or anywhere that loves their four-legged visitors.

I'll bring the photography setup, handle the portraits, and take care of ordering and delivery. You provide the space and help spread the word!

These would be quick, festive pop-up events where pet parents can stop by for a professional Christmas portrait without having to book a full studio session.
