Branden Bodendorfer, Entrepreneur and Visionary, has deep
roots in Central Wisconsin and a wide reach around the
globe. Finding a passion for helping people market their business
and communicate their life moments, he co-founded a print
shop, Premier Printing in 2004. In 2010, Branden invested interest into discovering digital
media. Through this interest he founded Tri-Media, a
marketing, communi

cations and advertising company. Over
the last decade, Branden has worked to innovate rural
marketing through developing digital space in which local
businesses can thrive. Through those developments, he has founded two
additional media sites where his team communicates stories
about people, tech, businesses and organizations making a
dierence in Wisconsin. Explore and OnFocus have become
the leaders in the area in news, sports and lifestyle coverage
in Central Wisconsin.

“As an entrepreneur and visionary, it is challenging at times
to see your focus and know all the lines and dots you need
to connect to reach your goals,” he said. “It’s challenging
when, as individuals, we get pulled in several directions in a
day.”

Through these challenges, Branden has developed his own
planning system, The Key2Success Planner, which is
available for purchase worldwide. In addition to being an entrepreneur, Branden Bodendorfer
has a strong passion for photography and videography. In
2017, Branden took interest in drones and aerial photography. He has published videos and photography that have been
seen across the globe. Recently, his work was featured on ABC
World News, ESPN Monday Night Football, CNN, as well as
many aliated networks. Since starting his interest in drones, Branden has invested
countless hours educating people on the benets these
machines have, especially in the public safety sector. Through
working with public safety agencies, he has participated in
various missions and exercises, providing aid to missing
persons, Wisconsin Emergency Management, and
local organizations. He has even contributed time searching
for pets and lost farm animals. In such a short time, his work has been used by NOAA and
Research Scientists in Denver. He recorded and mapped the
longest tornado ever to touch down in the state of Wisconsin.

“We put ourselves out there so that we might help discover
something that will positively aect someone today or
inuence a generation to come,” said Branden when asked
why he volunteers for these risky situations. Throughout the past ten years, Branden has changed much
about how people get their information in Central Wisconsin. He has inuenced businesses and community leaders to think
dierently about their communication model.

Last night the Sturgeon Moon slipped into Earth's shadow and glowed this deep copper red right over Wisconsin. Technically a partial eclipse, but with 96% of the moon buried in shadow, it read like the real thing. This is the best lunar eclipse we get anywhere on the planet until New Year's Eve 2028, so I wasn't about to sleep through it.

Watching it fade from a bright full moon to that rusty glow and back is the kind of thing that reminds you to slow down and just look up.

🏈 THE GALLERY IS LIVE — Rockets vs. Eagles

Friday night football is back in Central Wisconsin. The Spencer/Columbus Catholic Rockets opened the season against the Auburndale Eagles, and I was on the sideline for all of it.

Pregame nerves, the grind in the trenches, the runs that got the crowd up out of their seats. It's all in the gallery now.

Players, parents, grandparents, come find your athlete. Every image is full-resolution and ready to print, share, or hang on the wall.

📸 View + download the full gallery in comments.

Tag your player. Tag a teammate. Send it to the family that couldn't make the drive.

Ask a photographer what's hardest about a shoot. It's rarely the shooting.

One of the things I like most about photography is how much room lives inside a single frame.

The hardest part isn't the camera. It's taste. My eye has to line up with what the athlete likes, what her parents want on the wall, what her friends will actually share, and what holds up when the whole set lands on a feed together.

Every shot has choices baked into it. Where you crop. Where the light falls. What you do with it in editing. Move any one of those a little and it reads as a completely different photo.

Here's a small set from one afternoon on the tennis courts. Different poses, different light, different framing, different edits.

Scroll through and you'll land on a favorite pretty quick. Then ask the second question: do these look like they belong to each other?

That's the part that takes the most skill. You're building the whole gallery in your head starting with frame one, while the sun keeps moving, the shadows keep sliding across the court, and the players keep doing something new. Get that right and the set holds together as one piece of work instead of thirty good pictures.

If you are trying to grow a business, launch a new product or service, I want you to see this.

Most product launches don't fail because the vision was too small. They fail because someone got over their skis.

You build a strong vision, assume the market shows up in force, and start buying inventory, hiring, and pouring money into marketing to be ready for a wave that has not arrived yet. Then the early numbers come in slower than the dream, and you are stuck with cost you cannot cover.

The fix is to run the whole launch off milestones instead of hope.

Study your market and your competitors first. How their content performed and how fast they got to market is the most honest forecast you have.

Then set clear milestones. Book 10 customers, then 25, then 50. Or sell 1,000 units, then 5,000, then 10,000.

Tie every commitment to a milestone you actually hit. Only order more materials, add marketing spend, or hire when a real result unlocks it.

You keep the ambitious vision. You just stop spending ahead of proof.

Planning a launch? Here is the full framework:

A launch comes down to milestones, not hype. Study the market, set clear milestones, and gate every action to results so you never get over your skis.

A reorganization does not fail because the org chart is wrong.

It fails because the leader goes quiet, and fear fills the silence.

When people cannot see the vision, do not know their role, and never get asked about their goals, they stop pushing for the change and drift onto their own path. The fix is not more meetings. It is a clear vision, honest conversations about each person's role and strengths, and wins shared out loud as you hit them.

Your job in a reorg is not to move boxes. It is to put the right people in the right seats and hand them the right tools.

Timing in life is everything. True story that I feel is worth sharing. In August of 2021 I bought a fund for $6 a share. The value of that fund rose to $18 a share over the next 5 years. Then one day in March of this year the fund went public and for one afternoon that stock went to $560 a share. So for every dollar I invested it was worth nearly $100. However the stock I now owned was restricted meaning I and millions of others couldn’t trade it. That changes tomorrow. The stock will likely drop back to values it was at prior to March. The point is this story is never to get to ahead of yourself, practice decision making in sound judgment and not emotional reasoning.
