Senior night...
The class of 25 was supposed to be it for me at Harding, but this group of carefree goofy kids that I met their 8th grade year somehow kept me around for a few more years, and tonight will take the field for their last home game. I wish that entire group was still playing together, but life happens and people change and go their own directions in life, and that's ok. For the few that's stayed with it, it's been a pleasure watching you develop on the field! As you play your last home game, the lights will look different, the stands will sound different, and that last whistle will hit different. It's a feeling you really can't explain to someone that's never been there. Take in every moment. Hug the ones that's cheered you on. Enjoy it, because once it's gone, it's missed. Leave everything you have on that field and before you walk away, take one last look up at those lights!
I thought after the class of 25 this night would get easier, but it's actually gotten harder. Knowing I only have one more year after this class, tells me an end is coming for me as well. All off my fake "adopted" kids will officially be gone in another year. Now I want a refund back from all that money I've spent 😆... kidding!
To the ones in these graphics, seniors and otherwise, and your teammates, good luck. Underclassmen, help make these seniors have a special night!
