NIAM CHABEE YAJ HMONG FUNERAL SERVICE

It was just last summer that we buried my grandpa, and now we laid my grandma to rest so she can be with him. I had quite the busy weekend and still catching up on sleep. We held my grandma's funeral service this weekend and although it was quite an exhausting 2.5 days I hope she's happy that we celebrated and honored her life. May she rest in peace now and suffer no more pain.

I was testing my videography work with a new lens and so here's a short trailer I put together.

I haven't been posting much because it's been a little busy this past week. But, hopping on the "reality tv show" trend to show you guys a quick trailer of what happened at my brother's Hmong wedding. 😂 Wanna see what happened next?!

This one is special because I got the pleasure of photographing my brother and sister-in-law's engagement photos and we just celebrated their Hmong wedding on Saturday. I'll keep it short so I don't start bawling but I am so happy and proud that my brother has found the one for him. My SIL is such a sweetheart and to see Cassell become a father and now husband is truly an honor as his oldest sister. (Also, how does my nephew look so young and cute but so old at the same time...it's probably because he doesn't have much hair! 😂) But, a total cutie nonetheless. Thank you guys for bearing the short window time we had of sunlight left to do this session. One wedding down, one more to go. See y'all next month! ❤

THAO FAMILY Pt. 2:

Sharing some random shots from this large family session. I love it when my clients come to their family sessions and have really carefree and quirky personalities. When I say "Do a silly pose" they immediately know what to do and aren't embarrassed by it. (Usually, it ends in laughter, and those end up being my favorite candid moments captured, see below.)

*Also, it didn't register to me until 5 minutes into the session that I was photographing THE Neng Now and his family. What a privilege. I'm such a big fan, but also tried hard to remain professional 😊. They were so kind and a great group to work with.
