The initial explosion of Punk as an evolution of rock'n’ roll was discounted by the entrenched corporate powers that pushed music as a profit product. The overproduced rock hierarchy, its corporate, shareholder-driven profit margins, and its disconnection from a generation drove the birth of Punk.

I had the opportunity to photograph TOM FORD model Desiree Wallis to capture the dualities of her life as both a working model and a mother, combining an editorial concept with more traditional modeling portraits.

We shot everything at her home in La Jolla, even turning her garage into our studio for part of the day. So glad to have had this opportunity!

My show at BBA Gallery garnered some great press, namely from sleek magazine.

I was interviewed one morning with my co-exhibitor, per schorn fotografie. I had images of bands from the late ’70s and ’80s, and Per had images of bands from the ’90s. SLEEK spoke with us about the work, the music, and being part of the movement.
