There are parts of us that were never meant to be perfectly still.
They blur at the edges.
They move before we have words for them.
They exist somewhere between what we reveal and what we keep entirely our own.
Lately, I have been drawn to making photographs that feel less like answers and more like sensations.
Fabric against skin.
A body folding into itself.
Light barely finding its way through.
Movement leaving behind only a trace.
Something feminine. Something almost ancient.
Something you recognize without quite knowing why.
Maybe that is what I want from my work lately,
not to explain the woman in the photograph,
but to let her remain a little unknowable.
Even to herself.
