I am so happy to have been able to turn my passion into my career and I absolutely love what I do. From weddings to couples to families, each session brings its own unique joy and energy. I'm all for being authentic, cracking stupid jokes, and making the best of each moment. I've lived in Wisconsin my whole life and just love it. Friday fish fries, cheese curds, snowy cozy weather and Kwik trip are among my favorite things about living here. It's an amazing place to call home with some equally amazing people!

I took the liberty of demanding to photograph my little sister and her fiancé Dustin's engagement… no one was going to stop me.

We started at the river where he proposed, because every love story deserves to go back to where it began. Then we wandered over to their favorite bar with a motorcycle because that's just who they are.

When you know someone's whole heart, their quirks, their humor, what makes them light up, the photos almost take themselves. I didn't have to guess what would feel authentic. I already knew.

Being trusted to tell the people you love most's story is one of the greatest gift of this job.

Everywhere you look it seems there is a discussion about AI happening. Is it good, is it bad, will we be extinct as a human race in the next 10 years? 🥲
I, like many others, am in a field where this discussion is prevalent so I thought I'd give my stance on this issue as an individual and business owner.
I believe there is good and bad to everything. I believe we are still in the infant stages of AI, its possibilities, and figuring out the ethics of it as a society. I am not worried at this stage if AI will be taking my job as a creative. Seeing so much AI slop has reassured me of this.
Where I DO use AI in my work flow and business is the removal of objects or people I do not want in my photographs, and that is it. And if I am being completely honest, it still doesn't do a great job of doing that. I am and will continue to have a curious, open minded approach to this new tool but with caution. I want to remain authentic to my clients and myself keeping creativity, ethics and authenticity at the forefront of my business.
