On my way to tell the truth about bo***ir photography… and why the most powerful part can happen after you put your clothes back on🔥

Nobody talks enough about how vulnerable it can feel to let yourself be seen when you’re so used to picking yourself apart.

To accept a compliment without immediately pointing out something you hate. To be the center of attention without apologizing. To let yourself feel sexy as hell when that part of you has been on the back burner for years.

Sometimes “I’m awkward” or “I could never do that” feels easier to say than “I really want to feel beautiful, but I’m scared I won’t.”

And I want you to know you can bring those feelings into my studio, too. 🖤

Imagine seeing a photo of yourself and loving it before you even think to search for a flaw. Recognizing your expression, your attitude, your body and giving yourself a compliment you actually believe.

That can catch you completely off guard.

I’ve seen the happy tears. I’ve had a client tell me I captured how she feels about herself on the inside. Those moments stay with me because I know how much it means to recognize yourself in a photograph.

And that feeling can follow you home in little ways.

Wearing the outfit you’ve been saving for “someday.” Accepting the compliment. Getting IN the picture. Giving yourself permission to enjoy being seen.

You can have a hard day later, pull up those photos, and remember, “That woman is still me.”

That’s the part I want more women to know about. You get to have something beautiful to return to when you need a reminder to be kinder to yourself.

It’s always a good day when there are happy tears in the studio🥹🖤

Watching a woman look at her photos and see herself with a little more love is something I’ll never get tired of. The smiles, the emotion, the realization that the beauty she’s seeing has been hers all along… those moments mean everything to me.

There’s something so powerful about creating a moment where a woman can slow down, reconnect with herself, and celebrate the person she is right now. Getting to give women a space to do something just for themselves is such a privilege.

I feel so incredibly blessed that I get to empower women for a living. Thank you to every woman who trusts me with such a personal experience. You fill my heart more than you know🖤

Today’s session has me in my feels… 🥹🤍

My client said something I’ll never forget:

“You were able to show how I feel about myself on the inside.”

Being able to capture the woman she knows herself to be and give her photographs that reflect that… it’s hard to put into words how much that means to me.

Sometimes we get so caught up in everyday life, taking care of everyone else and checking everything off the list, that we forget to stop and see ourselves. And when we do look in the mirror, we’re often quicker to notice what we’d change than what we love.

But that beautiful woman is still there. Even on the days you’re too tired, too busy, or too hard on yourself to see her.

That’s what I love about these sessions. Giving you photographs you can look at and think, “Yes. That’s me.” Seeing your personality, your confidence, your softness, and all the things that make you feel like YOU.

I hope you give yourself a little more kindness the next time you look in the mirror. Let yourself notice something you love. Let yourself feel beautiful without following it with a “but.”

Sometimes I’m so focused on how far I still want to go that I forget to look at my life through her eyes🥹

Since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be two things: a photographer and a mommy

And I did it. I get to have the two best jobs in the world.

I get to be Mommy to two little girls I love with more than everything in me. Becoming a mom was always part of my dream, but I never could have imagined how big my heart would grow when I became one. Their little voices, their laughs, their arms wrapped around me… everything I dreamed of, with a love so much bigger than I ever knew was possible. Being their mama means more to me than anything I could ever accomplish.

And by 30, I built my dream photography studio. A 2,000sqft building just dedicated to my amazing clients. Sometimes I have to stop and let that sink in. The thing I wanted so badly is something that turned into a reality that I we get to start working In in just under a month. From my current studio to these new studio walls, I get to empower women, help them see their beauty, and remind them they deserve to feel incredible exactly as they are.

I always knew I wanted to take pictures. I just didn’t know how much those pictures would mean🤍

I’m so proud of the business I’ve built, the mother I get to be, and the woman I’ve become. There is still so much I want to do, but I don’t want to be so busy chasing the next dream that I forget I’m already living the ones I once wished for.

So yes, little me. I’m still working on it.

But you’re right. We made it.

And it’s even better than I dreamed 🤍

People always ask me, “How do you manage it all?”

And honestly? Sometimes I wonder the same thing. 😂

I’m a mom to a 4 year old and a 5 year-old, running a successful business, building what will be the largest bo***ir studio in Virginia, managing a team, balancing motherhood, chasing BIG dreams, and navigating all the unexpected things life loves to throw my way.

And somehow, I make it all happen❤️

But here’s the thing nobody really talks about…

You can be successful, organized, ambitious, and have your life together… and STILL feel overwhelmed sometimes.

I absolutely LOVE the life I’m building. I’m incredibly proud of what I’ve accomplished, and I wouldn’t trade any of it.

But that doesn’t mean every day is easy.

Some days I’m checking off every box, making big business decisions, being present for my girls, and feeling like I can conquer the world.

Other days, life is testing just how many tabs I can have open in my brain at once 😂

And while I might make it look effortless from the outside, there’s a whole lot of hard work, sacrifice, determination, and occasionally a little chaos behind the scenes.

The truth is, I don’t always know HOW I’m doing it all. I just know that I am.

And if you know me, you know I’m not slowing down anytime soon 💁🏼‍♀️

So yes, I’ve got this.

But sometimes the Barbies in these memes are a pretty accurate representation of what’s going on in my head 😂💀💕
