“Motherhood is a lesson in letting go. You spend countless days holding your babies, holding on to little hands, holding on to memories, holding on to blankets and toys. Building them up, shaping their hearts. Praying. Leading. Guiding. But the point is not to hold on, it’s to raise kids who are not dependent on you as a mother but dependent on God. Remember being a mom is the greatest privilege but their lives become their own. You shepherd their hearts so that one day you step back and realize the entire lesson in motherhood was to let them grow. You no longer hold their hands but by God’s grace you take a front seat in watching them live for all the things that truly matter. What a gift it is to be their mom. Happy Mother’s Day weekend, if you are a mom I pray you feel celebrated and loved!!”

Movement. Pictures are the best way to freeze time, but when there’s movement in a photo…you just can’t beat it. The bouncing curls, the huge smiles that are so big you can almost hear the laughter, the scrunching baby noses as mom and dad kiss their child over and over again… movement tells the story. This was my favorite shot from the Hampton family album. Can you even handle how gorgeous their 3 girlies are?!
