Jamie Boshears.

Okay, so I teased Jamie and told her I’d only write her name and I wouldn’t gush about how wonderful and talented she is and how much I love her and how much EVERYONE loves her because of how wonderful and talented she is… but I couldn’t help it. How can you not love Jamie?! Oh, you haven’t met her? Really?! That’s like saying you’ve never had ice cream! How could you have lived this long without meeting Jamie?!? It’s such an easy fix, too! Just get on a plane, fly to Little Rock, look up where she lives, follow her when she leaves for work, go up to her in the parking lot and say hello! Or are you too lazy?? Ridiculous!! Shame on you! Shame.

Jamie is wonderful and talented. Did I already mention that?

Bobby Batson is killing it. He just finished shooting “Underneath: In Fortune’s Shadow” with Theo Rossi - - and Michael Rooker - - (I was totally his reading partner for that audition. No big deal.), and he’s on his way to his next big role and what’s sure to be an impressive career. AND… not only is he killing it professionally, he’s also just a super nice dude. He’s inquisitive, funny, talented, comfortable enough in front of a camera to be silly… all character traits that make for, not only a great actor, but just a great guy! I’m grateful I got to shoot with Bobby, and I’m excited to watch him BLOW THE F UP!!!

Shooting with Abbie Porter was such a joy! The biggest part of my job during a photoshoot is to make sure my client is relaxed and comfortable and ready to play. Abbie is such a natural, that she was ready when she walked in the door! I hardly had to do any work at all! It was a nice change.

I really love these shots of Abbie, because of the devilish little look in her eyes. So many photographers will give the same piece of direction: “now smile like you’ve got a secret.” When they say that, THIS is the face they’re asking for. She’s so good at looking THROUGH the camera, not AT the camera. Great work, Ab!!

I’m taking a break outside the theatre, and a super nice guy just pulled up to ask if I’d gotten a chance to eat today. He was driving around offering sandwiches to the unhoused folks in the area.

Moments like this really let you know you need a shower.

BEST GIFTS EVER!!!

If you’ve been in my studio, you know I’m a nerd. And a big fan of Wonder Woman. She was my first love. I was two years old. I slept with a Wonder Woman doll. I’m revealing too much. ANYWAY… a couple days after our headshot session, Jason Scott Morgan texts me saying he has a little thank you gift for me. DUDE SHOWS UP WITH A CERTIFIED SIGNED LINDA CARTER/WONDER WOMAN 8x10!!!! I won’t lie. I tinkled a little bit. BUT THAT’S NOT ALL!!! A couple days later, knowing I’m a big Alex Ross fan, DUDE SHOWS UP WITH THE IMPOSSIBLE-TO-FIND ALEX ROSS JLA MESSENGER BAG!!!! (Pic 2) This gift was, of course, followed by more tinkling. — I mean, how frickin’ cool can a guy be??? — Thank you so so so very much, buddy!!! Linda bumped Sinatra from the place of honor in the living room.(pic 3)
