Chasing some more fall colors this time along the southern portion of the Susquehanna River. Colors not at peak but approaching peak here in southern PA in the next week or so!!

Prime fall leaf colors have arrived across most of the state of Pennsylvania for the next couple days and weeks as peak season has approached and is in full swing.

Make sure you get out and spend some time outdoors on these beautiful and lovely days we have been having over this time and not miss out on the beautiful array of colors!!

Tropical cyclone development possible by mid week this week

The NHC has raised odds of a tropical cyclone formation to 40% over the next 7 days. A coastal low is expected to take shape and be around for a couple days while staying out to sea before tracking east out across the Atlantic!!

The main coastal impacts to expect could be rough seas, beach erosion and perhaps gust winds. The big IF is how the system forms, or if it decides to drift further west...then impacts would increase!!

Part of the severe warned line of storms that moved through just north of Lititz this evening that brought some strong gusts along with it!!

I love the amount of contrast in color storms can bring out especially during golden hour just before senset!!

A severe line of thunderstorms approaching York and Lancaster counties!! The line of storms are moving pretty fast. Now its just a waiting game and deciding which one to target!!

🚨 A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for the central, eastern and southeastern parts of Pennsylvania as well as most of Maryland.

🔸️Convection has begun in central and western PA and clearing is happening out in front the cold front meaning there will be some surface heating and as the line of storms move into this warmer environment theres a chance for some parts of the line segments to go severe warned!!

🔹️Strong damaging gusts still look to be the primary hazard this afternoon into the evening!!

Chance for some strong storms today around 5-6 p.m. for us here in southeastern PA and surrounding areas. A strong cold front will be moving through and cells will likely fire ahead of it.

Severity is uncertain yet with the early morning convection going on and cloud cover. Strong gusts are expected, but tornado chances are slim.

🚨 SEVERE WEATHER UPDATE for Friday Oct. 15!!

▪️Storm probabilities have been increased slightly since the last outlook, the only increase has been the damaging wind threat of probabilities from 15% to 30% now. A 2% tornado risk remains the same as welslighthe overall slight risk for storm severity

🔹️ A strong cold front will push across the Mid Atlantic region with temperatures getting into the upper 70s to near 80° by mid afternoon. With this environment ahead of the front could create some strong storms to develop across central Pennsylvania and track across southeastern PA and into parts of the Delmarva region into the evening

🔸️Damaging winds will be primary threat, but an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out.

▪️I will be keeping an eye on this throughout the day and may end up getting out to chase this setup depends on how it sets up.

If you live in Pennsylvania or plan to visit.. Prime leaf peeping color is just around the corner this weekend!!

Some higher elevations already at peak color or very close to it!! While the rest of the state is approaching moderate color and will only be getting better from there over the next couple weeks.

If your looking to get out this weekend Saturday and Sunday look to be very nice with seasonal temps across the state while Friday there is some chance for rain and a few storms as a strong cold frontal system makes its way across the state.
