sometimes I am just in the zone and forget that I create the coolest photos...

this message is for photographers- social media really has things skewed.. don't get me wrong, we need to market and network.. BUT we provide a professional service so our top focus should be the experience we create for our clients.. meaning our work, experience provided, and product/service delivery is what matters... we can get to those socials LATER GATOR! especially if you're busy- take care of and nurture your current work and clientele before you rush to fall into the pull of socials! just my two cents!

this was three months ago and i genuinely forgot how beautiful these are!!! ugh- let's give a big congratulations for these two!

AND the rain clearing to give us a sunset at the most exquisite time- mother nature is my girl FOREVER.

I left this session feeling grateful that this is my life. Meeting good people, getting to know them, and capturing a special chapter of life for them in a way only I can.

The colors, the feel, the people, the sky, it makes my soul swell.

12 years of this work is insane to me.

Sometimes I question my art, though I learned a long time ago to quit playing that comparison game.

What I know to be true as a creative, especially as a creative who is responsible for executing beautiful work, what sometimes feels like endless moving parts, and connecting with people in an authentic and loving way, all while keeping track of the time and a to do list is this...

there is no one like me.

And I am so glad, thankful, grateful, blessed, over the moon that I get to do this work for people who are INCREDIBLE, welcoming, kind, and a good time to exist with.

I bop in and out of the biggest days/chapters of life in a way that is so deep, yet so temporary.

It's brilliantly bold work when done well.
I am proud that I do it well.

I am proud to be the girl who had no idea where this would take her, who jumped right in, the girl who taught herself everything- from making websites, logos, business cards, how to use flash, how, how to do accounting, how to build a business from nothing, the girl who still shoots for free when people are going through a tough chapter, the girl who fixes your hair, makes sure you breathe, and captures a moment in time as beautiful as she can think to do.

AH!

Also, I’m so excited to offer adding a roll of film to your session. I wish I could explain the beauty and the art of the images I’ve gotten back from my film shots. It’s just so incredible and is adding such depth to this amazing work. With film, you will get digital scans as well as prints in addition to your typical gallery. It really is the coolest thing 🥹

I got my first roll of film back and I’m about to be INSUFFERABLE 💅🏼

I saw this and I was like “it’s truly in me” after being a girl under the spell of imposter syndrome for too long.

Like I know my way around a camera and light and timing and composition.
