Today is National Bereaved Mother's Day. It's a day that deserves to be acknowledged. For those who don't know, back in 2014 after years of infertility I had twins who were born early and passed away the same day. It was heartbreaking but also incredibly sacred, and now we have our own personal guardian angels watching over our family.
This past week I had the special opportunity to take pictures of a Stillborn baby. I love being able to do that for people, it's such a sacred experience. I hope you never need that service but if you do, please reach out. My heart always breaks for the families I work with, because I know exactly what they are going through.
On the other end of the spectrum, I was so excited to take newborn photos for a family who had experienced a stillbirth with their first baby a couple years ago. Seeing them hold their sweet rainbow baby who was here and safe in their arms brought me to tears in the best way possible. 🌈👼
Life is not easy. There can be a lot of pain but also a lot of joy and everything in between. For those of you who have experienced infertility or loss, I hope you feel loved today and always. It's not an easy road but you aren't alone. 🩷
