School starts next week and I am not ready. Summer flew by way too fast, and I am definitely not ready to give up these lazy mornings. But I am so ready for this heat to be over. I hope you guys enjoy these last few days of summer fun and late nights, it goes by way too quick. šŸ«¶šŸ»

I tagged along with this crew during the twinsā€™ first ice cream experience. Mom set the bar high for lil miss with the most deliciously sweet blue Cookie Monster ice cream. She thought her brotherā€™s chocolate was meh after several bites of hers. Go big or go home they say. šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜…ā¤ļø

As my clients you donā€™t have to know what to do at your session. That is my job friends.

I know how to use the light, where itā€™s best, what locations donā€™t distract from you guys, and what angles work best.

I give you a direction, prompt, or activity. Stand here and do this. Walk this way and do this. Sit together and do this. Play this, and hereā€™s how.

Then I step back and let you fall into it. It might feel weird at first, but everyone naturally falls into place in their own way. And if you donā€™t, I help you and guide you into it more. Or sometimes switch gears.

Got a shy kid whoā€™d rather snuggle than play airplane? I know how to meet them there too.

We repeat this through the whole session. New spot, new setup, new grouping, new activity. Every single one comes with direction from me, and many variations of that direction too. I follow the energy of every client, mostly the kids, to guide you in the most sincere way possible for YOU.

TLDR:You are never left to figure it out in front of my camera, b because I gotchu.

This familyā€™s photos were a Christmas gift last year. One of my own clients gifted it to them. Honestly, itā€™s hard to top a gift that just keeps giving.

We spent the afternoon somewhere they had never been together. Dad pointed out every kind of tree along the way and turned it into its own little lesson. They spotted crawdads in the water and giant ravens overhead. Screen free and fully present with each other.

The real gift was that hour of being present together in a brand new place. The photos are the bonus.
